Monsters, Mayhem & Magnificent Tassels! - Citizens of New York, prepare yourselves! The monsters are here.

The creatures of the Godzilla universe have emerged, and only one force stands between the city and total destruction: Cherry Pitz and the Hotsy Totsy crew!

Will Cherry save the day? Will she become MechaCherry Pitz? That depends on the special effects budget.

Join House Mother Cherry Pitz and her faithful consort Handsome Brad for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque’s first-ever tribute to the legendary world of Godzilla, Kaiju, and giant monsters.

Expect outrageous costumes, hilarious hijinks, dramatic showdowns, and the kind of nerdy theatrical chaos that only Hotsy Totsy can deliver.

Hosted by: Cherry Pitz & Handsome Brad
Featuring performers: Betty Brash, Queensiñera, Dutch Baby, Susie Dahl. Bitsy Brûlée. World Wide Blond, Lil’y Con Carnage…and more!
Special assistance from: Helen Blash and Brief Sweat

First introduced by Japan’s Toho Studios in 1954, Godzilla began as a powerful metaphor for the fears of the nuclear age before becoming one of the most iconic monsters in cinematic history. Over seven decades, the King of the Monsters has stomped his way through countless films, battling other legendary creatures, leveling cities, and evolving from a symbol of destruction into a pop culture icon beloved around the world. From classic Japanese kaiju films to modern Hollywood blockbusters, Godzilla’s legacy continues to inspire filmmakers, artists, comedians, and fans everywhere.

About Hotsy Totsy Burlesque

Hotsy Totsy Burlesque recently celebrated 19 years of bringing nerdy, theatrical, and delightfully ridiculous burlesque to New York City.

Since debuting in April 2007, Hotsy Totsy has dazzled packed houses with monthly tributes to cult classics, beloved fandoms, and pop culture obsessions. Audiences return again and again for the wild plot twists, spectacular costumes, unforgettable characters, and the ongoing saga of The Home for Wayward Girls and Fallen Women.

Each month, audiences are invited into this ongoing burlesque soap opera, where funds must constantly be raised (and G-strings lowered) to keep the Home's doors open and its residents out of trouble.

Over the years, Hotsy Totsy performers have battled Daleks, Darth Vader, The Borg, the ghost of Vincent Price, network censors, evil from other dimensions—and even COVID-19.

No matter the villain, House Mother Cherry Pitz and Handsome Brad promise one thing: Laughs. Tassels. Glitter. And a very questionable plan to save the world.

Join Hotsy Totsy Burlesque, where the motto is: “We’ve fallen, we can’t get up—and we like it that way!”
