The Doctor is back!!!!! It is Cherry Pitz’s Birthday and the one thing she is sure of is that the Doctor is going to make an appearance. But the Doctor is less then thrilled as he can’t figure out why the Tardis keeps bringing him back to Cherry’s birthday - 80 consecutive days in a row! We say it just wants the Doctor to have a good time watching burlesque!

Hosted by Handsome Brad Lawrence as the Doctor and featuring performances by Cherry Pitz, Candy Del Rio, Miss Liberty Rose, Cherie Sweetbottom, The Reverend Valentine & Boylesque sensations Matt Knife & Teddy Turnaround

Sponsored by Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum!

Cherry Pitz and Joe the Shark have tackled some of finest themes a burlesque show could have. The 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. Mad Men. Game of Thrones. Charlie Brown. The Golden Girls. But what has Hotsy Totsy Burlesque not conquered in over 6 years? The Third Wednesday of every month at The Slipper Room.

Hotsy Totsy Burlesque is New York's only episodic, monthly burlesque show featuring a different script each month and a rotating cast -- a high camp soap opera featuring some of the best burlesque talent New York has to offer.

Every 4th WEDNESDAY of the month, you are invited to the basement of The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women. The residents of the home need money to keep their hotel open and to buy G-strings and glitter. Sadly, the shows have had their technical difficulties and in the past as they’ve had to combat, zombies, gangsters, human-animal hybrids, televangelists and snake oil salesmen. The performers promise you beautiful, clothing-averse women, lots of laughs, spinning tassels, and flying underpants. So join us for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women where the motto is “We’ve fallen, we can’t get up, and we like it that way!”

Review of Doctor Who Show from "Read At Joe's" - "All the acts were truly inspired, decked out in wonderful costumes — for however long they were worn — and featuring excellent choreography and music. The performance space was tiny but packed with an audience that ate up every bump, grind and shimmy with ecstatic howls and catcalls. And the players really knew their stuff; the script was littered not only with burlesque and vaudeville jokes, but with shout-outs to DOCTOR WHO history, characters and stories — including an extended bit about Neil Gaiman’s “The Doctor’s Wife” when The TARDIS Idris “Sexy” took over Cherry’s body and just had to set her tassels swinging in the show’s grand finale!"

It's a feeling of having stumbled into a bar outside of the space-time continuum, where the best bits of sexy 20th century aesthetics (early jazz, false eyelashes, garter belts) have been gathered together for some smart and sensual dancers to play with. -
